Today we drove to Hanmer Springs, a small holiday resort on the Lewis pass surrounded by mountains with ski slopes near by! We had come here to go to the thermal spa but saw a sign for crazy golf on the way in so walked over only to find out its not just crazy golf but an adventure maze! Yes adventure maze with a puzzle and prize at the end after talking to the ancient temple god Indra! Pretty heavy stuff!!! So off we ran to work out the hidden message and beat each other to the end! Running pass several waterfalls, into a cave full of gold, through a rock fall and fire, into a dark passage of glowing bamboo and finally a run to avoid the water over a pool of more water! To face the glowing head of Indra with the final message - our reward a choccy coin! It was crazy and very weird! Martin won, I got lost in the labyrinth! After we played crazy golf which wasnt so crazy after that and yes Martin won again! Putting on our swim gear we walked to the thermal spa to chill out in the hot pools, mineral pools and smelly thermal pools. Later another BBQ and cheeky drink in the town!
