Today was our last full day in Sydney so we set the alarms for a early start to make sure we had enough time to see as much as we could however the snooze button on the alarms were continually pressed and we managed to oversleep (why was the snooze button invented? We arrived in Sydney after a 10 hour bus ride and checked in the hotel for sleep and a long lie in - yaaay! In the morning we headed out to Darling Harbour to see the big tourist attractions: the aquarium, wildlife zoo & madam tussauds! Then off to the Sydney Eye to take in the views all around Sydney - we were easy targets and bought 3 out of 4 photo books, with the same type of posing in each! It was time to head to the Spot X surf camp where we were enrolled for one lesson and a nights accommodation! We have lots of photos to prove we met the first rule of surf camp: look good and stay cool, as we even managed to stand up on the boards. The waves were crazy - the perfect condition for learning! Yesterday we stopped off in Byron Bay so we could take a day trip around Nimbin. Nimbin is Australia's Amsterdam a quiet town tucked away about an hour and a half from Byron Bay next to the Nightcap National Park and its dramatic rock face.
