Just checked in to this gorgeous Hotel in the Dorset countryside.
it is called the George Albert Hotel built in 2009.
it was a vision of Mr George Albert Cook, he wanted to open a quality hotel for visitors to the county of Dorset.
It has 39 beautifully finished en-suite bedrooms.downstairs is a fabulous Restaurant and their prices are really great.
We left Southampton this morning and made our way to Bournemouth.
On the way we called in at Christchurch to have a look and there is a Castle there. We drove in to the area and again a parking fee is charged, we just had a look at it and saw, that a wedding was taking place inside, through a huge glass window.
That would have to be a Princess day for that Bride.
Then on to Bournemouth.
It was, and is still, a favorite seaside place for the English to go for holidays.Rain has been dogging our footsteps the past few days and today was no different.
I think Summer came on the Monday that we went up in the Hot air ballon!!
Anyway we went for a walk on the pier... At a price! 60p each. Was windy and cool but we enjoyed the stroll and I took photos of course. Was delighted to see all the little beach changing huts, all lined up in a row and all bright colours.
As it is now school holidays, lots of kids everywhere and they had all the carnival stuff at the Pavillion area.
People everywhere and plenty of tourists. How do I know? Because like us they stand and sort through their coins trying to find the right ones that make the £2.50 or whatever for the
parking.
Gordon was saying we had not seen many cows so far, it would appear they are all in Dorset and plenty of sheep as well.
Have yet to have a Devonshire tea with that special clotted cream.... Ahem!
