Today we were going to see Sapo Falls across the lagoon. There seems to be waterfalls everywhere you look here but Sapo and more specifically going on a path behind the falls was for many the highlight of the entire trip.
What makes the path terrifying for many is the amount of water flowing over these falls and how close you are to them. The falls create a strong wind that when combined with the spray makes it difficult to see and breeve. To get a grip on the rocks you were advised to wear socks (with swim wear).
The only thing to do now was to get the flight back. Liz had started drinking and was relaxed when we got to the airport. Lots of small planes ferried people back, eventually there was only me and Liz at the airport looking at a sad looking plane. Liz was not too happy about this but there was no choice. There was one advantage I could become co-pilot.
The plane was worse on the inside, Liz grabbed the camera and took pictures of the gaps and generally anything that was far from perfect.
Back at Cuidad Bolivar we met Gustav for something to eat and drink. He gave us some nice crystals from the Gran Sabbana that he collected.
Completely knackered we hugged the restaurant owners and Gustav and headed for bed. South America highlight one done!

Pavel That's a new beginning for you. I do not love new bggnnniies because they give me a sense of insecurity, but like you I have to move to another city to continue my life there. Toronto is a nice city. I hope you like it because I did when I was there. It's a calm city and cosmopolite.
