Went to another open air museum of some old ruins in Pummukale, some tombs of gladiators and old roman baths, very well preserved, they are still excavating a lot of stuff, still astounds me how they moved all those giant bricks without our modern technology. Walked the 4kms from the south entrance to the north looking at the ruins, starting at the necropolis, most built by a retired gladiator. Mark went with some of the guys to look at an amphitheatre, very hot day, at least 35oC. I went with the girls to the terraced pools, amazing place, petrified waterfalls and the pools had a paddle in them, lovely and refreshing on a hot day. They small pools (about the size of a paddling pool) are all white very hard volcanic material with very blue warm water in them, there are so many, they go down like giant steps hopefully the photos will give the impression. Then we went to the small museum with lots of artifacts in it. Then it was back on the bus and drove to Selchuk to a leather shop, Mark was under strict conditions not to buy another jacket! lol, had a fashion show at the show, and of course who do you think go dragged up on stage?? Mark of course was dressed up in a leather jacket out the back and sunglasses and of course he strutted his stuff on the catwalk on the catwalk he shook his little toosh on the catwalk!! and he loved it, very funny to watch. The leather was made with lambs hide not the usual cow hide, extremely soft, but expensive, most of the crew bought something except us. They gave us all an apple tea, very popular drink here in Turkey, you can have either hot or cold, it is quite delicious, black of course and very sweet. Got to hotel about 6ish for a buffet dinner, and a two night stay, yay.
