We arrived in Chengdu after flying from Xi'an yesterday and what did we do as soon as we got to our hostel; thats right booked our panda tour!
So today we got up pretty early (after watching Jaws last night) and headed off on our tour bus to Chengdu Panda Research Base; this is where the pandas are.
What can we say but it was totally awesome, we saw loads of pandas, some climbing trees, most of them were eating or sleeping as pandas do, one stole the others food. They were so cute. We also saw little baby pandas in the nursery they were about 2 months old, we werent allowed to take pics though. Then the best moment we got to hold a panda!!!!!!! woo hoo. It was really cute and again it was eating and suprisingly not as soft as you may think. We contemplated trying to get one in the rucksack to take with us but we were surrounded by staff.
After all that excitement we watched Jaws II at the hostel.
