We were lucky and slept well. The train isn’t as smooth as the ones we’ve been on before and we end up all over the place when trying to walk around! We can’t believe how quick the journey went and we had much prettier views today, including the Missouri river and the Mississippi River.
We have been through the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois while on the train.
We arrived in Chicago at 3pm and found our way to the hostel, which was much closer than we thought! Woop! We had showers as we smelt a tad, then headed in search of food. As soon as we stepped out of the door it felt like home, well Sheffield at least, it was raining and it was rush hour! We didn’t venture far tonight as we’re tired and would rather do it in the day, plus we have some rearranging to do with our plans as our rail passes expire earlier than we thought! Grrrr!
