We had a lazy morning sorting bits out for our trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. We’re hiring a car again as it’s so cheap and makes it easier to see everything in the Grand Canyon. We were a bit confused at first and things weren’t coming together but they soon did and everything is sorted and booked! From tomorrow we are sort of starting our journey home as we are making our way towards New York. Only about 3 weeks now!
We didn’t end up leaving the hostel until quite late and when we did, we were back soon enough after a round trip to the car rental place and the train station! We had a bit of lunch and headed out again to the other end of the harbour to admire the amazing ships, including a WW2 aircraft carrier which was massive!!! We admired the other boats, some which looked like pirate ships! We also watched the planes coming in to land, they fly so low that at some angles it looks like they are flying through the houses! We then mooched our way through town and popped in at the station again to book tickets and then back to the hostel. There was an offer of homemade shepherds pie and salad for dinner which we jumped at, and it was delicious!
We haven’t done a great deal today, a lot of planning and organizing for the next few weeks. Tomorrow we leave San Diego and head back to Los Angeles where we get a bus to Las Vegas. Staying in a hotel in Vegas as it’s so cheap at the mo!
We both love San Diego and are really sad to be leaving! There is something about this city, it doesn’t have that city feel and we can both see ourselves living here! It’s the same size as Sheffield and that was just right for us, so perhaps this is too?! We’re so glad we came here as it wasn’t part of our original plan and want to come back in the future! It is the first city in the US that we have fallen for, we have liked others but this is special!  Considering we like it so much we don’t seem to have taken many pictures, and we don’t have any nice ones of the beaches!! Hmmm!
We have finally got the blog up to date with pictures! The website has had a few probs and they seem to have been sorted (fingers crossed) so hopefully we can keep it more up to date from now on!
