We got up early and went over to Balboa park which is huge and has about 15 museums, gardens and a zoo! We went to one of the art museums to have a mooch and then went over to the Spanish village art centre where artist were working on their pieces, where you could watch them, look at their work and buy it. We watch the glass blowing which was interesting! The oven was about 2200'c! We mooched about the gardens and as it was a lovely hot day we decided to chance the beach again!
We went to mission beach this time where there was more happening. We chilled and splashed in the sea, was nice to chill for once as we always seem to be on the go! Whilst in the sea the lifeguards were warning people to come out of the sea..unsure why we made our way back to our stuff and carried on reading. When we looked up, we could barely see 100 yards away from us for there was a huge cloud of mist travelling over the beach and the sea!! Was very odd..it passed though and we could see it moving further down the beach!
From the beach we headed back to shower and change and we went into Gaslamp. We went to a sports bar for a few drinks and some nibbles. Was a nice atmosphere and there were a few Halloween parties near the bar so we sat observing the odd costumes!! We realized why we haven't been going out over here when we got the bill! Tis a tad expensive but we deserved it!
