Welcome to our last Australian installment. Our last stop was Cairns and we travelled up here last Sunday from Mission Beach. On the way to Cairns we stopped at a Croc Farm where we saw our first cassowary (3rd largest bird and dangerous). The guy who owned the place was a little crazy and sat on a 5m croc. We got the ferry across from Townsville to Magnetic Island last Saturday and went straight to our hostel. We couldnt of asked for a better location, the hostel was right on the beach and it was so nice there. There wasnt much to do there apart from relaxing and sunbathing. On Sunday night, we were given an hour briefing before going to Fraser Island. We were put into our group of ten which consisted of 3 English, 2 Irish, 1 Danish, 3 French and a German. Dont know what it is about us but the girl ratio once again out numbered the boys. Monday morning, we were dressed and packed by 7am.
