G'day everyone. Well we left Sydney last Tuesday to go to Surf Camp. We arrived at Surf Camp at 5pm where we spent the evening before an early start. We were up at 6.45am and on the beach by 7.30am. We had lessons on the beach before going into the water to try it out. It lasted 3 hours and was great fun. We dont think we'll be taking this up as a sport though. Its harder than it looks. We didn't manage to stand up so just enjoyed doing it on our knees. After the lesson, we were off to Byron Bay where we met up with some of the other girls.
We have now been in Byron for 10 days and have loved it here. It is such a relaxed place. There is not a lot to do here apart from the beach and a few drinks in Cheeky Monkeys of an evening. We also done a tour to Nimbin which is a little hippy town and one of the most strangest places. Chilled out is not the word, it took about an hour for them to make a sandwich there!! We also visited a hippy who lived in the woods which was interesting. We think he had a couple of screws loose.
Today we walked to the most easterly point in Australia where we could see dolphins in the sea and turtles. Thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Krisha also done a skydive in Byron at last!! Luckily she had 2 other girls to do it with for support. That didnt stop her from not sleeping the night before though. Marie and Jenny came to watch and Marie was very jealous cause she wanted to do it again! It didn't help Krisha that she was right next to the door on the plane and first to jump the 14000 feet. She was so glad she done it though.
The beach is lovely here and we've really enjoyed our time here. Its been good to have caught up with everyone and most of us are moving on together today to Surfers Paradise.
