Hi there, hope that you are doing ok. Well been in Oz for just over a week now and loving it more and more by the minute! Had a fairly chaotic week applying for jobs and trying to find a flat. Yesterday was awful I must say. Of the 10 viewings I had set up I only got to see 2 because people were out or the room had gone. So rude..... the 2 I saw were really s*** holes to be quite frank so last night I was quite disheartened. But then I sat there and though I'm in Australia and that is certainly a reason to be cheerful! However, 24 hours on and I had 2 rooms lined up. The first was at Bondi Beach!!!! hehe it sounds so funny saying that. My only concern was that the other rooms in the house were empty so I didn't really know who would be moving in and I didn't want another situation like London. So I have taken a room in a 4 bedroom house - its got a living room (!) and a great garden. I'll be sharing with another girl called Sarah, who is lovely and 2 guys who I haven't met yet. Aparantly they all get on well and go out together and stuff - exactly what I wanted. So i move in there on Tuesday. Only 80GBP a week, all bills included. So I have been shopping for a duvet or should I say duner? and pillows etc..... The room itself is nothing special so I need to buy some posters to put up and I'm glad that I brought some photos with me. It should brighten the room a bit. In terms of jobs I have interviews lined up for next week so I expect to be starting work by August. Still making loads of friends. Sydney reminds me of manchester. Everyone is so willing to talk and help you out. I've not felt lonely for a single minute. I sat at the bar last night feeling p'd off and within seconds I was laughing at some guy dressed as a women and talking to some people I'd met the other night. So all is well with me. Wish the weather would improve though, I've had to buy a coat and as I type this I can feel my hands siezing up! DOH! Anyway, that's the gossip from me. Hope that you have got the postcards, mum said that all of hers have turned up now. Well I'm off to the bar for a beer because its cheap and I can! hehehehe! mx
