We flew into the south of Thailand to Songkhla for Marks cousins wedding. His cousin has a holiday resort overlooking the sea. He has a few bungalows and we stayed in one of them. We met up with Marks family there. It was really peaceful compared to Bangkok and his cousin had a really nice pool. We hung around here for a few days before the wedding and had cocktails from coconuts around the pool. Very relaxing! The wedding was very interesting - five Buddists monks came to the resort and blessed the bride and groom. They chanted for a while and afterwards the groom (Marks cousin Graham) gave everyone a red piece of thread which you tied around your right wrist. I have no idea what it means but it is something to do with Buddism! In the evening there was a big wedding party at the resort and there was a seafood BBQ, I ate a crab and I mean a whole crab, I had to open it all up and take of the claws! It was lovely though, very fresh! There was also a karoake and me and the Everetts sang songs like We are the Champions, DISCO and Kung Fu Fighting. We got a few funny looks!
