Brasov was described in my one and only guide book as "Romania's favorite city". I think I would add Romania's only worthwhile city to visit. The old center has alot of character and feels like a mountain town. It still does not compare to other qauint cities seen throughout Europe, but for Romanian standards this is the gem. I am glad I pushed on from Bucharest to lay my head here for the night, but Romania to this point has simply been a box to check. Nothing to really write home about.
