Hello from the most humid place we have been on our travels so far, this place is sooooo hot and sweaty (worse than Darwin!!!!) but good fun.

Today we tried a different tactic of going out before midday to beat the heat but it didn't work!!!!!!

As Ayutthaya is effectively an island with the river around it we decided to take a boat ride around to see the city from the water and it was bliss once on the water we had the wind blowing in our faces and it was so cool. We made 2 stops to mop up the temples that we had missed and one contained the biggest seated Buddha we have ever seen so it was worth it. At the same temple there were about a thousand catfish waiting to be fed in the river some with mouths bigger than Mick Jagger!!!

Unfortunately the ride had to end then we decided to walk back to the town for lunch but got a little lost and everybody that we asked didn't seem to know which road we were on. Eventually we found the restaurant we needed and it was shut so we settled for somewhere else before escaping the heat and having a lie down for a few hours.

Just getting ready for the night market so will be in touch from Pattaya the sex capital of Thailand tomorrow!!!!!
