Well where do I start today its been a mixed bag. We had boiled eggs and ice cold orange juice for breakfast and decided to save the rest of the juice for tomorrows breakfast. We tidied away our plates and set off for 1 of 2 markets that they have here on the weekend. The first is like a farmers market that sells all fresh produce and organic fayre it was teeming with people and had a real good atmosphere. While we were there we had a call from the hostel telling us that we had to change rooms to accomodate some other people because they had overbooked. This was a pain as we had to pack up and move buildings although as it was 1pm we thought that we would have a nice lunch at the hostel with the remainder of our ice cold juice.
That is when the skullduggery began (for those that don't know you place all your food in a communal fridge labelled and you expect it to be there when you go to retreive it) Someone had stolen our juice this is our first taste of dishonesty that we have come across and it did not feel good. But we let it ride and it did not spoil the rest of our day as we set off for market number 2, at this market you can only sell things that you make yourself.
This was busier than the first market all hustle and bustle with every kind of craft you can think of including handmade jewellery, hand made clothes things made out of coathangers and fire extinguishers etc...
We seemed to be walking around for some time and had purchased a necklace and hat for Mel. So we had a refreshing lemonade in the sunshine before heading back to the hostel for our ravioli tea and a nice glass of wine.
We leave for Seattle tomorrow, so I will be able to fill you with fascinating facts about that place as well!!!!
Love M & M
