Well for you Guys that have been missing us you will be aware that this is our 1 Month Anniversary today. We both woke up a little worse for wear thanks to the guys at the Brewery!!!!!

Took the short 3 hour train journey here to Portland which had no delays!!!

We took the bus up to our hostel and dumped our stuff.Mel wanted to get the washing done but you could not use it till after 4pm so we had to go out and see a few things in what clothes we have left!!!

We set off on what we were led to believe was a 1/2 hour walk to the Japanese Gardens in Washington Park, so after 70 minutes and a stop for lunch in between we arrived at the park and took a shuttle up to the gardens. Once you were in there they were so peacful and serene complete with waterfalls and koi carp plus you got a great view of Mt Helena across the city. We followed this up with a visit to the Rose Garden here they grow over 400 different typres of rose they had not all bloomed yet but they will look amazing when they do. Next to this was the amphitheatre where they put on outdoor shows and events with the mountains as the backdrop.

Not much else to report yet except Mel has got her washing on and we are both waiting for 9pm to arrive as its free pizza for everybody every night ( I hope they have Pepperoni)

We are here another 2 nights so will report back again soon although we have 4 days spare before Seattle so any ideas anyone?
