Our day started at 7am this morning as we were trying to get tickets to go up the Petronas Towers. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hostel but one of the guys that works here was on his way to his 2nd job and gave us a ride down there.
We arrived at 7.40am to find a queue of at least a hundred people already, they only issue 1500 tickets a day and its on a first come first served basis. The whole experience is tightly controlled and we were issued a ticket for 9.15am. The elevvator speeds up to the 41st floor and opens out onto the skybridge,at this point you are 170 m above the ground but considering there is much more building above you it is not too high.
The towers stand at 452 metres and are really nice to see. We went down there again tonight to take some pictures of them all lit up.They are really majestic to see and quite amazing all lit up.
Our bus leave in the morning for the Cameron Highlands and it could be wet up there as the wet season is kicking in.They grow a lot of tea up there and we are hoping to tour a tea plantation to see how the whole process works.
Must go as we have been challenged to a scrabble match tomorrow by our friends and we need to rest our brains!!!!
Lots of Love
M & M
