Day 103 - Koh Phangan
Dull again this morning grrrr! We go and grab ourselves some breakfast and then return to the room to chill out and hope the sun decides to come out.
We have a look at trips and stuff that you can do on Koh Samui as we're heading back there tomorrow for 6 days and will need something to do if the weather isn't going to improve. A lot of the trips take you to see all the stuff we want to go to but have an awful animal show in the middle, elephants doing tricks and monkeys dressed up with make up on doesnt sound like the sort of thing i'd want to see!
Si decides he's a bit peckish and went over to the fridge outside of reception to grab some chocolate and was greeted by Rex who wanted to play ... Si of course didn't want to play with the big alsatian but Rex just kept running into him :) Well Si managed to manouvre around the dog, grab the chocolate and make it back to the room all in one piece, when he told me about it all I just said he should be thankful it wasnt Rollie wanting to play cause he wouldn't have had a choice or been able to move him out of the way!
By this point its getting quite late so we get showered and head out for some tea, just as we walk into the restaurant Rollie is lay right next to the table that we sit at so I had to get a picture, he does look big on the picture but I still dont think you get just how big. I wanted to take a picture with me next to him comparing the size of my hand to his paw but Si told me to 'leave the dog alone' :(
We stayed a bit longer in the restaurant than planned having a few drinks after tea so by the time we came back to the room we decided it was best if we packed in the morning. We watched another episode of The Event (Si only likes watching it cause one of the characters has the same name as him) and then set the alarm for the morning as we need to pack, check out and head back to Koh Samui.
We've both really enjoyed Koh Phangan even though we only got 2 days of sun it is a really nice place and again all of the local people that we have met have been so friendly. I think we're now getting to understand why Thailand is called the land of smiles :)
