Day 23 - San Francisco/Downtown Los Angeles

The day begins bright and early (6am!) so we can get ready, get checked out and jump in a taxi to the coach station for our mammoth 7 hour + ride to downtown LA.
We only have 3 stops 1 in Oakland, Chamamunga and North Hollywood before we finally arrive in LA. The 1st bit is ok as it goes pretty quick, the landscape all through California North to South is very similar, lots of Brown fields, Brown mountains and Orange/Fruit trees, it was a bit like being in a Scooby Doo episode (You know when Shaggy & Scooby are running from the ghost and they only have 1 background thats repeated over n over this is what it was like for about 4 hours) Eventually we pull into a service station we step off the air conditioned coach and the heat that we've been missing hits us again (mmm 30 degree heat) There's only a Burger King at the services so we're limited we order a regular sized meal and in true American style it's the size of the Large/XLarge at home (The woman also gives me 8 packets of ketchup!)

30 mins later we're back on the road and the scenary begins to change as we get towards LA/Hollywood, Lots of mountain roads big lakes oh and lots and lots of traffic!

We eventually arrive about 7hours 30mins later and checkin to our hotel, the lobby is nice the hotel is huge we're on the (15th floor!) however this hotel is all about location for us as we need to be near LAX airport for our trip to Oz on Weds. After grabbing a quick sarnie we settle in watch a bit of tele and fall fast asleep (Who knew sitting on your backside for 7 hours could be so nackering!?!
