Day 14 - San Diego (Coronado Island)
After travelling and theme parks and lots of walking we decide we need to chill for a day however the only problem with staying downtown is the lack of beaches so we decide to head over to the beach with the best reviews at a place called Coronado island. As it's an island there's a couple options of getting over there. There's a cool bridge connecting it to the mainland however we decide to take a boat across. Nice relaxing journey takes about 10-15 mins soon we're on the island. The main beach is the opposite side to the port but it's only 1 mile across so we decide to walk it.
We notice that the houses here are very nice, it's very quiet neighbourhood no litter every garden immaculate, then i see why .. a 2 bedroom bungalow is going for $1.8 MILLION ouch! after a bit of googling i find that it's 1 of the most expensive places to live in America there's plenty of houses that are worth $15 Million + here. Anyways the beach is nice but water is incredibly cold, the North of the island is a Naval base so there's plenty of aircraft carriers on the horizon and planes flying over every 2 minutes. There's plenty of locals having BBQ's and lots of volleyball going on and after a few hours the sun begins setting so we head back across the very expensive island to jump on the boat back, we head for some quesadillas and some bevys in the hostel before retiring for the night as tomorrow we jump on a plane to VEGAS!!! :D
