On Thursday 14th April Jan and I decided to visit the Botanic gardens. It was raining a little bit but still nice and warm to walk around. We had coffee in the cafe and waited for the heavier rainfall to clear. We then walked through the gardens and out to Mrs Macquaries Chair a landmark out on the point. We passed the stage of the Opera house outdoor theatre which has a huge Chinese Dragon at the front.

We then walked back through the gardens to Circular Quay and caught a ferry across to Luna Park, a famous old fairground attraction. We walked up to Milsons Point and then had lunch in a lovely cafe.
We then walked over Sydney Harbour Bridge and enjoyed the excellent views across the bay.
It was early evening by now and so we met Jane and Mike and had a meal in an Italian restaurant close to our hotel - The Pizza was lovely
