Mam in Australia
Friday 15th April
Today we caught the bus to Botany Bay with Jane and Mike. We went on a walking bush tour with Tim Ella, an aborigine gentleman. He told us aborigine stories about his family and his ancestors. He was very interesting. He told us about the food that they used to eat and how his ancestors used boomerangs to hunt birds and kangaroos.
After the walk we had breakfast in one of the cafes and then spent an hour on the beach. It was a lovely day. Jan and I caught the bus back to Sydney and went up the Harbour Bridge Pylon. We were able to get a 360 degree view of the city and harbour - it was fantastic a afternoon. Jan and I then had an evening meal at the Chinese restaurant on the Quay overlooking Sydney Opera house.
