On Friday 8th March we got up early for breakfast and went out for the day with the hockey girls. We drove to Katoomba to Echo Point lookout which has a fantastic view of the Three Sisters. We walked down the Giant Stairway and around the cliff face which took us about 2hours. We then rode the Scenic Cablecar ride back up to the top.
We drove back to Leura for lunch and then Jan and I drove to Sublime Point to enjoy the views. On Friday night we had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant.
On Saturday 8th March Jan and I said goodbye to the girls who were travelling to Newcastle and then Sydney. We went to Govetts Leap in Blackheath and enjoyed fantastic views of the mountains. We then drove along Darling Causeway to Mt Wilson and the Botanic Gardens at Mt Tomah. It was a lovely day out in beautiful sunshine.
On Sunday 9th March we drove to the Wentworth Falls. We followed the Charles Darwin walk across the boardwalks and a small creek finally arriving at the Wentworth Falls which had a 100ft drop!! We walked back to town and enjoyed afternoon tea in one of the local cafes. We travelled back to our hotel to meet up with Jane and her husband Mike who had arrived that day.
