Our drive from Tettnang was panoramic in that we followed the shores of Lake Constance for most of the morning .Tom Tom was determined to turn us onto freeways but we ignored this advice and travelled mainly on B roads and were rewarded with some great valley drives as we approached Baden Baden our destination The guest house was not open so we walked around the city of Baden Baden Very pretty with bright twisting little streets A very hot night so we dined by a little stream at the guest house
The next day was the Black Forest (Schwarzweld) proper We started in a liitle gem called Guggegach In turn we visited many other similar towns with half timber constructions making them very attractive Late in the afternoon we found the toboggan ride This is where you are hauled up a huge slope and on rails and come down the hill at a furious pace with dips and loops . Whilst Lyndon did this Marilyn had a cup of coffee
A quick trip onto Auggen Hach where the owner could not do enough for us The hotel blurb advertised a BBQ It really means that they cook a BBQ meal but as there were few guests he let me use their facilities to cook our first steak for 5 weeks .Our room has a balcony so we dined there overlooking the vineyards as the sun set
The camera is playing up so blog will use old photos so can publish
Tommorow maybe France ,Switzerland or just a few wineries

Anita and John What happened with the Tobbogan ride Marilyn, lost your sense of adventure!! ...... Coffee sounds good to me too !! Off to Perth today for the weekend I thought that was pretty good but your next few days France Switzerland with a few wineries certainly sounds delightful, Switzerland is one of my favourite spots. Huge storms here overnight rain, hail, thunder and very high winds number 22 is still standing and the roof is still on. Pretty impressed with this 'blog' idea, it's been great hasn't it. Have a couple of nice reds for us when you visit the wineries over next couple of days. Xx
Jenny Well we are about to embark on our travels so we will be a rival with blog reports!!! I think I would have stayed with the coffee too Marilyn. Finished school today so now down to serious packing. Karen's Dad's funeral today. Bill and John went. Take care and hope that camera gets working again.
