Our second day here was free for us to organize We started in the Jewish quarter which has an interesting history The cemetery is quite fascinating. Jews were confined to a quite small area of the city, and since Jewish remains can not be disturbed to accomodate burials a hill was created with bodies sometimes 12 deep.
Lyndon not feeling the best today. Legs and back sore and tummy a bit queasy Slow afternoon and felt better after an afternoon snooze We are all located in units with full kitchens so a group dinner was planned in the largest one. The leader prepared us a Czech dish of Spinach pasta With a few wines it was a great night Even though the group is quite diverse it has bonded well
At 6pm we went to the unique astronomical clock which I am sure all visitors see We saw it strike 6 with the bells and revolving figures Poor b***** who made it had his eyes cut out by the council so he could not replicate it anywhere else. He got them back by commiting suicide by throwing himself in the works and it did not get fixed for a 100 years.
