On last day in Prague we visited the Communism museum .Any one born on the 40/50s have had it tough No wonder some of the older people do not look happy I got told off in the supermarket because i did not pkace the money in the tray. After the museum we had a great picnic on an island park in the Vlata river which flows through the city This was followed by a ride on the funicular to a mountain park which gaves excellent views of the city Quiet night at home and made use of having kitchen facilities
Travel next day was complex 1 Tram and 3 local trains saw us arrive a Teplice which is a mountain loaction where there are ski resorts In summer it is a beautiful park and we hiked through some extraordinary sandstone rock formations Wonderful little hotel gave us a great l evening meal (BBQ chicken) and a comfortable room
Two minivans picked us up next morning The drivers were two Polish brothers who were quite characters The got us out at the Czech/ Poland border and led us in a Hokey Pokey on the spot They claim the air is much fresher as soon as you cross the border
The afternoon was spent at Auschwitz W3e are glad we did this part of the tour but it was very depressing and distressing what happened in these camps
Short trip on to Krakow finished the day
Good to see the Crows get home .Looks like we are certain of some sort of finals campaign

Anita and John Sounds beautiful, though as you say some of the things are very depressing, lucky there are lots of positive things and beautiful scenery to outweigh the negatives! A quiet night at home sounds like it was enjoyed too, you get to a point when you are traveling that you appreciate a few of those. You'll have plenty to tell the crew by the time you meet up with Pat for her birthday 'week'! 22 degrees here today just beautiful, rain and cold again tomorrow. Till next time Love Anita and John xx
Colleen & Geoffrey 22 degrees today - could get use to this warm weather, unfortunately forecast is for cooler temperature tomorrow. Geoffrey back into golf again - Geoffrey A is being very patient.
Kirsten Sounds great, if challenging in parts. Sorry we missed your call - will try and call you shortly.
Jenny Sounds like school with the Hokey Pokey!! I can imagine a bit depressing some areas but still worth seeing. Sounds like you are Ok again Lyndon.
Yazmin That guy on the left is royally tieckd-off about SOMETHING. I have some great photos some heart-shaped of my mother and her friends in Miami Beach nightclubs with sailors in WWII. I think Mom was secretly disappointed when the Japanese surrendered . . .
