The only thing we have planned for Christmas Day is the beach BBQ in the evening. Had a very quiet day at the pool, then wandering down the road for a few drinks at a beach bar. The beach BBQ buffet at the resort was a good feed and the weather fantastic for sitting outside on the beach. Day 6 We headed back to Hoi An to pick up my boots and glasses. Unfortunately the boots still don't quite fit. They will adjust and bring to the resort for fitting. We wandered through Hoi An food markets. Definitely an eye opener. There is no way to accurately describe the smells and sounds of the market place. One of the things that has really surprised me here is the genuinely friendliness of the people. They all smile and are very helpful, our attempts at speaking Vietnamese always gets a laugh from them. I mentioned before the absolute chaos on the roads, but funnily enough it works. You don't see any road rage, apparently you can cut people off but if you blow your horn to warn them, it is ok then. We had another quick swim at the neighbouring resort pool then a few drinks sitting on the beach followed by a nice dinner at the resort restaurant. The pool in our resort has been undergoing repairs and looks like it is in its final stages. Hopefully it will be ready soon
