Lazy day

Had a relatively quiet day. Went out to Kevin and Marie's for Ellie's first holy communion. They put on a meal and a few drinks, Marie did a fantastic job with the food. I was a sucker for the home made apple pies. Karen and I had a quiet night and wandered around checking out some pubs in Wexford before having an early night

A very quiet day. Drove Karen and her mum Eileen to Dublin for some shopping at Dundrum Shopping centre. I dropped them off and went and swapped my Hire car at Dublin airport. They had given me a very basic Opel Astra with no Bluetooth, cruise control etc. ok for running around town but no good when we start heading up the Atlantic Way. A very quiet day. Went out and visited Karen's brother Kevin, wife Marie and family at Ballymurn. Found an interesting memorial for 1798 detailing two brothers in either side of the uprising (see photos). Quietest day of the trip so far.

Headed back out to Colin and Jacquies to pick up our car. Jacquie made us a great Irish breakfast including black pudding. We then took a drive out to Kilcotty then in to Blackwater and the beach at Curracloe. This is where Saving Private Ryan beach landings were filmed.
