Hello!
So the past few days i have travelled from Franz Josef to Queenstown. Franz Josef was excellent. It is the most famous glacier in New Zealand. I had a free day here to explore the glacier in style. i chose to do a helihike, which is a helicopter ride over the glacier and then a 3 hour hike about two thirds of the way up. I have to say it was pretty good. i got to go in caves and slide down the ice through tiny holes. Excellent fun. The hostel was really nice to and i think i could have stayed longer. Unfortunately we had a flood in our room so we moved. But it was all sorted and they even paid for my washing! The following day we headed towards Lake Wanaka. I decided i was going to take the plunge and do a skydive. When we arrived in the afternoon we checked into the hotel and went straight to the air field. I was really nervous but the staff made me feel at ease and lots of my friends were jumping to. When it got to my turn i met Jeff my instructor and Any the camera man. I chose the dvd option and photo's so watch this space. In the plane it was small and everyone was filled with nervous energy. When it was my turn to jump i took a deep breath and put my legs out of the plane. then after a photo i was off. Falling 1200 feet towards the ground. it was an amazing feeling. I was flying. then the parachute opened and jeff and i were twirling in the sky. Fantastic. i even managed to land on my feet! i was so pleased i did it. the next day we left for Queenstown stopping at puzzleworld on the way. there was a maze and illusion rooms. some wiered and wonderful things going on. We arrived at queenstown in the afternoon and i spent the rest of the day looking round. All the people on the bus arranged to meet later in the evening for some entertainment. On my free day i walked by the lake and played frisby golf with some friends.
