Hello!
So i started my travels up the east coast of Australia from Sydney. The first destination was surf camp. For one day i was to become an aussie surfer. The evening we arrived we had a group bonding session playing games and listening to someone play the guitar all evening. Bright and early the next morning just after sunrise we were all ready and keen to go. The instructors explained what to do and we got into our wet suits and collected our boards. Surfing is not as easy as it looks. i fell off many many times crashing to the water. I even manages to get cramp but with a lot of practise and some help from the instructors i did manage to stand. i even managed to surf a couple of waves to the shore. It was the getting back to the sea part that was hard. Check out the photo's, its proof i actually surfed! The next destination was Byron Bay. This is a quiet surf town on the east coast. By this time the weather was getting warmer and i actually got to lie on the beach. It was good to relax and get to know the friends i had made better. From here i went to surfers paradise. This is more of a city with a great beach. However the waves were to strong to even swim in so i sent my time on the sand instead. A couple of days in and i was realy for some life again. So Brisbane came at the right time. I went to the city where i stayed for four days. I went to the australia zoo, the land of Steve Irwin. It was great fun. The only problem was the rain. Oh well. It wasn't like i was not use to it! We still had fun looking at the crocs and the koalas. The following day i was very cultured and looked round the museums. There was a greta art gallery and the shops were fantastic. Its a pity i have no room left in my bag. For my last day in Brisbane i went to Movie world with a friend i met in New Zealand. She had just moved back and we spent the day catching up. The superman rollercoaster is so fast and so much fun! I liked Brisbane but it was time to move on up the east coast. xxx
