So I survived!! We did the alpine crossing which was much harder than I imagined. We walked up the devils staircase which my butt can definitely vouch for, it is so sore! We walked across fields of snow, up volcanoes and through forests. We ate lunch at the top of the volcano which was cold but the rocks were hot!! We got to see Mt. Doom, Rohan and Mordor from lord of the rings. In all it took us about 7 hours and was amazing. I have some class photos that are to follow. Last night we stayed in an amazing hostel which was more like a hotel with a hot tub and fires and amazing mattresses!! Well rested and up early we are making our way to Wellington.
