Left the Germany campsite on a rainy morning, heading to Neuschwanstein castle.
On the way, we stopped by a petrol station for an early lunch of meehoon goreng.
We reached Neuschwanstein castle at around 2.50pm. The castle looked amazing and majestic! The view was fantastic and the weather was sunny.
We took the bus ride of €1.80 going straight to the bridge overlooking the castle. This is the castle built by King Ludwig II, the one that inspired a certain Walt Disney to build Disneyland!
Apparently this castle is in Germany, but already very near to Austria. So in just a few minutes, we were already in a different country!
The journey to our campsite in Innsbruck, Austria took almost 2 hours. We even stopped for a while at a scenic lookout overlooking a mountain (must check on its name), the tallest mountain in Germany (and obviously very much visible from Austria). We can clearly see the avalanche marks and some snow atop the mountains. Beautiful view.
Oh yes, we had a karaoke session in the bus as well - even our tour manager sang too! From Ella to Robbie Williams to P Ramlee to Mariah Carey.
Dinner tonight: nasi lemak!
The Austrian campsite is surrounded by beautiful mountainous range (which I think would look so beautiful in winter) - and again the weather is just nice. Not too hot not too cold.
Unfortunately it rained very heavily that night, complete with thunder and lightning. Just as we thought we've got the weather on our side in Austria...
