Our tour manager told us that the campsite manager was impressed with our bunch - cuz even with a large group (of 100+), everything was in order (tak mabuk-mabuk, etc) and despite the heavy rain the night before, everybody were still in a jolly mood! :)
Packed up our tents, and off we go, heading to Innsbruck town 45 minutes away. We went to the Swarovski crystals shop and wandered around the town.
Tried the apple strudels as recommended, it was just OK. The mountain range at the background again reminds me of Queenstown, NZ. Very beautiful.
Next, lunch at the ski jump area in Innsbruck - a simple nasi goreng; before making our way to Italy!
En route to Venice, we passed fashion city Milan and Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet.
In the bus, our tour manager also thought us some useful Italian words & phrases and gave a little history/information on the country (as he does for each country we pass).
Our campsite in Venice is Camping Fusina, where we had our Italian dinner: spaghetti tuna bolognese!
It was a hot hot day, and one thing about the campsite in Venice: there are lots and lots of nyamuk besar during Maghrib time, which made dinnertime pretty unpleasant. Thankfully our tent was mosquito-free and the nice weather made for a good night's sleep.
So I'd suggest get the cabins for your two night's stay in Venice.
