Tanzania well done and DUSTED... excuse the pun.. Not sure what competes more for worlds most annoying substance to constantly get in and over everything.. Da-es-salams red sands or Zanzibar's white coastal sand!! Ahh the joys!! Visiting Tanzania has been a mixture of african 'civilization' towns of Arusha and Da-es-salam where haggling in the name of the game and as a Mazunga (white person) you would be silly to let your guard down... (our truck driver even made us monitor the bolted on spare truck tyres while stuck in traffic driving into Da) It is all however part of the fun of being in africa .. hey?? and in Da we were treated to a seaside campsite with open air showers that allowed me to star gaze while washing my hair and yes even a pool.. ahh the luxuries!! The hectic overcrowded culture city experience was nicely balanced out with a few very chill-laxed days on Tanzania's answer to any honeymooners dream .., The island of Zanzibar... hmmm as a non-honeymooner i too was not bannished from the island but could diffinitely see the romance... White beaches.. flowing into warm crystal blue coastline which allowed dipping (skinny or not) anytime of the day or night! The group loosened the chains of the truck and tent life for 4 nights of hosteling... Days spent lazing on the beach or snorkeling a closeby reef .. Operation Bronze goddess is currently in full swing .. however am currently continuing to work on fading red into brown!! and Evening ... well when on a paradise island it would only be rude not to beach party it up!! It was low season so had plently of opportunity to 'convince' locals that it would be in their interest to offer our group their 'best price' which help save on in the ever fading wallet (yes i know it has only been a week or so .. ahhh) Figuring out quickly not only safety in numbers here but apparently our best bargaining tool aswell !!
It has been a huge mix for senses the last few weeks and can only see more to come .. loving every moment !! love to all !!!
