Well glad to be out of our tiny unair conditioned room in Amsterdam...remind me never to go quaint again! I love big American hotels with a lounge, lots of room and air con...and service! However, it was an experience! So up early to have breakfast and check out. Our taxi came late so we did not have much time at airport...what a huge and busy place....I swear we walked 2 km to our gate... I loved it as then we had to sit for ages! We flew to London and then to Manchester....rented a car and on to Shrewsbury to spend a day with Fred's sister. We got there about 4pm and met their two daughters then the four of us went out for dinner. Then we went home for a nightcap in the garden...does not get dark tll 11pm....so we played cribbage...girls against guys....girls won all 3 games then retired....very hot day
