Well we got to our hotel about 10:30 and of course they would not let us in till 2pm....we were supposed to meet a friend from the ship but this hotel has bad Internet and no air con...not happy jan! However it is very well positioned and kind of quaint! And they gave us a fan! So we left our bags and off to the hop on hop off bus....we toured the city then hopped off for lunch. We have so much extra luggage we had to send a suitcase home....so off to the post office to do that! Fred had a afternoon nap and I caught up on email. At about 6 we went out and went through a Rembrandt exhibition which was great! We then found a restaurant and had a feast. Every second restaurant is an Argentina restaurant so we tried that and had the mixed grill....it was enough for 10 people! Steak, ribs, chicken, lamb chops, more steak....one of them was enough but we managed to get through half of it...oh yes and baked potatoes and a huge salad....and that was the cheapest thing on the menu!!! What a waste of food....I asked why so many Argentina restaurants and they say because it is the best beef! It was excellent! The bicycles are very tall....they say people from holland are the tallest in world...Fred can contest with this as he could not reach urinal in we! Then to walk that all off we went for a stroll down the red light district....very interesting....just a bunch of girls in bikinis or loungerie behind red curtains! And guess what colour our room curtains are? Yes, red! Stop at a hotel on our way home for a nightcap then to bed! In Europe nothing opens till 10am....even tourist buses...and on Sunday it is noon! Then we finally caught up on Skype with friend from boat and her hotel is directly opposite ours! Unreal! So tomorrow we will hang out with man and Ros.
