Well....another in eventful drive....started to get a bit more interesting scenery with big rocks, then trees, then farms and animals! Wow! We stopped half way in a cute little place that was full of Arizona tourist stuff....but took up some time and had a coffe and filled up. Got to Bright Angel Lodge at about 2pm to find that Bundu Bashers had called up two days ago and cancelled our reservation.....we have already paid them and they have kept the money! We were furious....and upset...I was afraid this would happen! After an hour of the manager talking to us and head office he felt sorry for us and put us up in a cabin on the rim with an excellent view of the canyon...but we have to pay again for it! Not happy Jan! But our cabin is right on the rim...just beautiful...we went for a walk along the rim, had a drink at the bar, checked out the restaurants and had dinner overlooking the canyon...nice day! The canyon is unreal! 277 miles long and 10 miles wide at its widest point!
