We reluctanly left Lake Tekapo today to head for Christchurch on our last day on the Magic Bus!! :-( We stopped for the best bacon & eggs in New Zealand at Geraldine (reminded of you somehow Dad!!) and carried on to the Antartic centre where we saw some Blue penguins, had a ride in an Antartic Hagglund (all terrian amphibious Antartic vehicle) and also got to experience an Antartic storm!! We then checked into our hostel which is gorgeous and then walked down to the River Avon for a guided Punt tour of the botanical gardens!! Our man was wearing the traditional clothes and hat and the weather is lovely here so it was really cool!! We also watched a balancing/plate spinning show in the Botanical gardens as there's loads going on with the Busker festival!!! We're going to have a wander round to see what's happening tonight and meet up with Debs again later! Only one more full day in Christchurch :-( Luce xx
