Monday 6th March - Arrived late after a 12.5 train journey from Bangkok to a really lovely hotel (bargain on Expedia!) with views all over the City. The train was a bit different from home - it did have air-con and it was clean enough but the scenery was beautiful! Going from a grotty, smoggy city like Bangkok through the hills to Chiang Mai was beautiful. We saw monkeys, forest fires, tiny villages and many temples. We chucked our stuff into the room and headed straight out for some Thai food!
