Lucy's Travels
Saturday 14th January - Up early to catch a flight to New Zealand. It seemed strange to have to go through imigration, since we have not had an international flight for such a long time! However, on the plus side I am building a number of stamps in my passport! We touched down in Auckland around 3pm, with NZ being 13 hours ahead of UK time! We had nothing booked but managed to find an info point and get somehere to stay. Auckland is very small and we pretty much walked around the whole city in about 3 hours! The sky tower is huge and Dan plans to jump off it soon!
Sunday 15th January - Explored the city by bus and foot. Being a sunday our impression of the City was pretty negative because there wasnt really anything going on and its cold! However, we do like it and have had a lovely day walking around the harbour.
Monday 16th January - Spent the morning booking a campervan called 'wicked' (check out: www.wickedcampers.com.au) to travel around the country in. We have it for 3 weeks (at the moment, may have it for longer) and plan to do the north and south island. We are here for about 6 weeks so have plenty of time to sort things out along the way. However, we cant pick up the van until the 20th, so tomorrow we are off to the very north of the island by car staying in some hostel along the way to Phia (cant spell). We then have a trip booked to go to 90mile beach, which sould be great.
