Saturday 7th January - Up early to catch a flight back to Sydney. Catch the train from airport to central and then a walk to the hostel. Have booked lots of trips today and are going to spend the rest of the day doing something free!! Sunday 8th January - Went to the Botanic Gardens and then prepared a feast for the outdoor cinema experience. We couldnt take in alcohol so we had to down the bottle of wine we took with us before we went in. It was a wonderful evening and we were really lucky with the weather since it has rained most nites after then! The film was terrible but the view of the opera house and bridge at night was amazing! Monday 9th January - Met dads friend Bill, who took us for a beer and a ferry ride round the harbour (not in that order!) Went over to Manly for the rest of the day to check out the beach. Tuesday 10th - Went to Katatoomba, Wentworth Falls for a serious bush walk and then over to the Blue Mountians and Three Sisters. The Blue in the Mountains (well what apears blue to the eye) forms becuase of the eucalyetus mixes with dust particles and forms a 'blue haze'! Cool Hah?! Went for a beer and made friends with a homeless man who's family just so happened to live in Gosport!! Small world. Left that scary pub shortly afterwards! Wednesday 11th January - Met Bill for lunch in the rocks (thanks Bill!!) and then spent the rest of the day climbing Sydney Bridge! It was a great experience and I would do it again. In the morning it was 30C and we thought we would be boiling but by the time we got to the bridge in the afternoon it was 18C and raining! Nevermind! Thursday 12th January - Had my eyelashes tinted and eyebrows waxed. I know Im supposed to be 'roughing it' but I cant bear hair! Had a walk around town and then spent the rest of the afternoon in Darling Harbour. Met up with Vicky and Nat, friends of Kathy's from Portsmouth and had a mental one in Kings Cross! Its not as bad as everyone makes out, its a bit like going down town on a saturday except there are prostitutes everywhere - Dan didnt even realise but he did make friends with a man called Moses!! Had a really great time! Friday 13th January - Spen all day ill in bed with a horrible hangover! Stopped being sick around 5pm! Never drinking again (well until the weekend!)
