Hi everyone!!
Firstly thanks again everyone who's leaving me messages. It's great to get online and read things from everyone at home. Chloe, I hope your exam went well, I'm sorry I wasn't there to wish you luck, and I love you lots. Kate, the zoo totally wasn't up to having a lion 6 inches away from me.. lol but I hope you had a good time. Thank you to my lovely cousins, aunts, unlces, parents, grandparents.. and thank you rob and hannah for my bite thingy, it's been very useful.
So, my week.. the boys are really getting used to me, and I realised last night that in about 9 days time I will be leaving, and I hate the fact that I have to leave. Mostly in the day time whilst they're at school I read books (done the lord of the rings already) Chloe thanks for my book, I sobbed through the last 50 pages. Also I try to find things we can all do when they get home from school, or i visit town.
It's been a week of reading (the boys are very good at english and we read all the childrens books together. Their favourite is lazy lion, which I would really recommend for Charlie, Toni if you can find it!) We swim at the yacht club a lot, we were there just now. Apparently a year ago they wouldn't go in the water, but they swam for ages today, with me holding out my hands. Yesterday I got some paper in town and we used an old box of donated paints, and did some paintings on the veranda. They loved it, and we're going to stick them on the walls of the new building, if we can get hold of something to stick it with.
Hmm what else.. I'm quickly running out of reading books, and there isn't a book shop in Tanga. At all. Which means I have 2 books left for the next 2 months (those of you who know me well know this is a big deal). Hopefully we are moving across to the new building tomorrow, the boys are very excited about it.
If I haven't mentioned it before, the 2 boys are Christopher, 8 and Alphan, 6. They are really brilliant, even more so when they now talk to me all the time and play games. They love puzzles, and so we often search through the toy box for a puzzle to do. They are also huge fans of mr bean and mary poppins, and they know every word to "a spponful of sugar". I hate the fact that I'm going to have to leave them. I can get a bus back to Tanga on the weekends I'm with Tukae though, so that will be good.
Anyways, I shall be off, they're out on the bikes and I borrow Aisha's (she's the girl who lives here all the time) and cycle down the very very very bumpy road with them. Lots of love to everyone xxxxx
