Weather: sunny and hot!!!
I was having breakfast today when Lucy said my friend is back. I said which friend and she said the girl I was with before, apparently she had got her days wrong or something. Well I had to go to my diving so I was wondering what had happened all day.
This time rather than getting in the little van we walked to the jetty and then got on a boat which was just us and then Jasons family who were going to have a day on the island. This time we got off the boat by doing a scissor step which was really hard to balance whilst the boat was rocking.
Our skills in the shallow water this time were doing an alternate air source ascent and a controlled emergency ascent. We did this from 6m deep and I struggled with my ears again even just getting to this depth. Once they equalised once though they were fine for the rest of the dive and I hardly had to equalise which was weird since we went the full 18m deep this time. We did all the basic skills again on the sea bed at 18m and some of the new skills.
We went for lunch on a bigger island this time and after the diving I was bursting for the toilet and cleverly queued up for the showers when I could have gone almost instantly into the toilets.
All of our skills were done now and Jason took us on just a fun dive which was great. It was a bit scary because we went to a mid reef which meant we weren't near any land and we had to descend through the water feet first to 18m. My ears were fine though J yey!! Jason took us to a boat wreck which is an old fishing boat and there were sooo many fish. We didn't really see anything new that time it was just an awesome sight seeing so many of them all around you; and I wasn't even scared about them for once. If you go near them they just swim away from you.
When we came out of the water at the end Jason shook my hand and congratulated me on becoming a certified open water diver. On our walk back to the offices then we decided we would go to the cinema to watch the new Harry Potter film to celebrate since we were all wiped! We had to wash all of our kit and sign a few things first and then I went back to see if I could find Carm. She had left me a note so I returned it and let her know id be back at a certain time.
Malays are hilarious in the cinema and laugh at almost anything even just a weird facial expression. I was glad I got to see it but it was weird not seeing it with my Mum since that seems to be our tradition with Harry Potter films. It was also weird to think that I watched the last film the day before any of my travelling had begun.
When it had finished I went to see if she was back again but she wasn't so I went out for dinner with Elise, Shanie and John. We went to the market and had some great cheap food but after it I suddenly felt really sick and had to lie my head on the table. They thought it might have something to do with the decompression sickness "/. It passed after lying down for a while and I just had a stomach pain.
We went walking around the market and saw lots of lovely rats on our travels. Then the weirdest thing ever happened. A little boy who I thought was playing seemed as though he was running behind me and I thought he had tripped over my leg so turned around and apologised. It turned out Shanie had seen him and he had actually jumped down onto the floor to look up my dress!! Seriously he was about 4 years old!! And if I was Malaysian he would have got a right whooping.
I got back and apparently Carm had missed me by about 5 minutes and I had done the same just then. She had left me a note saying they had gone to Bed (a club - they made the name to create the puns obviously) and I could meet her there. I really wanted to go because I really fancied a good dance but my stomach hurt so I wouldn't have enjoyed it so I just crashed.

Gran Congrats on becoming certified! Shame about the stomach upset... glad not decompression sickness. Carm was elusive!
