Cartagena for Christmas!

Cartagena is a wonderful colonial town with a history of pirate attacks so it has a massive wall around it to protect the pretty town inside from the likes of Francis Drake.

We arrived filthy and smelly after 5 days without a bath on the boat, into Cartagena which was full of glamorous Colombians getting ready for their Chrismas partys.

luckilly for us we were meeting up with our friend Robb from Leeds and he sorted us out an apartment overlooking the caribean beach in posh Boca Grande. we lived in style for a week hosting a lavish Christmas dinner and generally feeling very luxury after our week on a boat.

we visited a volcano that spewed out creamy liquid mud which we swam in, which was odd. You couldnt sink in it or swim.
