Surfers Paradise -Gold Coast

Now we begin to visit iconic beaches along the coast towards Sydney. More beach time and hopefully great oceans to swim in. On arriving at the Gold Coast it had all the features we had seen on pictures and tv ... High buildings / sky scrapers and long golden beaches. We were staying at a resort hotel / hostel one block away from Surfers Paradise. It was an amazing view from our 5th floor room with balcony and when we ventured the one block the golden beach stretched for miles. The sun shining, the waves inviting and a fabulous vibe ... We are going to like it here!!! For 3 days this is place to chill and venture the resort. The first day was a beach day of course!!! A little wander around the shops and a few drinks spattered between relaxing and swimming in the amazing ocean, the waves were fun too!!! The second day was not as sunny so we decided that a Christmas shopping task would be the order for the day. We split up for 4 hours with a budget to buy each other some Christmas gifts, mission accomplished we met up in the Irish bar and then went for a meal before heading back to prepare for a day at the beach again! Our last day and the sun shone again, a beach day, with a final drink on the resort bar.... A strange blue haired lady began chatting with us, Sarah couldn't stop giggling whilst I entertained her craziness; until she said she didn't like living here when I asked why, she replied... Too many hookers!!! Well that was me done in!!! So back to our room for packing in readiness for a 3 hour bus journey down the coast into a new state tomorrow.
