So this is the place I get into surfing.... well body boarding anyway. The lovely hostel has some we can borrow and this place is the chilled out surfers capital!! So we spend the days at the beach and absobing the atmosphere and a few cheeky beers on the way 'home'. A random evening of loosing time and we decide to go to the bottle shop and order pizza. It was then we spoke about Luke (whom Sarah said was here in Byron should could feel it in her water) who we had previously bumped into at Mission beach and his stories of living on domino 5 dollar pizzas that we decided it was time to enjoy one too! It was here that when collecting our order that Luke walked into dominos.... NO WAY!!! How weird!!! We had a catch up he had just arrived with surf board to spend his Christmas in Byron Bay. More surfing and chilling was the pattern of our stay. Lovely homemade stirfry evening we met a 77 year old lady, who shared her story of her travels. Retired at 65 and after 2 years of not coping with retirement she left everything and has travelled since!!! This is the way to stay active and socialised... something to remember for our retirement days!!!!
