Off the bucket list....
So after a most eventful overnight train journey we arrive 23rd Dec 2015 ready to do a Bondi christmas as always Day 1 consisted of finding our bearings. Our apartment was in lovely surroundings 200 metres from Bondi wow a few decrorations bought, the havianas lights being the highlight and christmas starts.
Christmas eve we decided to walk south from Bondi Beach passing the huge sea water lido. On we walked passing coves and beaches until we saw a bowling green and sign "Beer and Bowl". Lawn bowling is on my bucket list so we enquired and before we new it. Pint in hand, barefooted and bowling begins, Such fun and turns out we were not too bad even had passers by stop, watch and clap!!! Onward to Coogee Beach (recommendation from man in Brisbane) exploration of a pilgrim site (Virgin Mary once spotted on the cliffs) and bus back to Bondi
Christmas Day so eager to spend the day on the beach and being a Foster wanted to drink a can of Fosters ironically that's a Melbourne beer to really hard to find! We wake up its not sunny so we chill watch a service on telly and then body board under arm (Louises christmas present) we head to BONDI BEACH BABY. The sun is out, santas are in flip flops an spirits are high. The beach is packed and everyone is secretly drinking as it is banned. The day spent body boarding and watching the lifeguards. We have found a lovely place to eat the corn fritters are amazing and Louise ticks another thing of the list.... Ice cream in Bondi on Christmmas day was had.
Boxing day we head back toward Sydney and a shopping Centre were we watch the new Star Wars movie, Brilliant and tears.
