Hi,
We have welcomed a new member to our London entourage, who has inspired us to act like tourists again in London. She arrived bleary eyed and lacking sleep but with a positive attitude and a sunny outlook on how to spend her time over the next month.
Her first weekend here was jam packed with a 5am wake-up call on Saturday morning and a 5 hour queue ahead to snatch up one of 6,000 Wimbledon tickets on offer. The sun was bright and the tickets were in hand before the first match begun. Strawberries and cream were the food of choice and the camera was working overtime.
On Sunday the morning was a little bit more relaxed with a late breakfast of sugar and lemon pancakes. The tube took us into London where the hustle and bustle of the city were on display. All the'postcard' sights were visited and then a few more. Our lastest arrival summed up London in two words: crowded and full of steps (ok so more than two). Tickets were purchased, the up and coming week planned and the atmosphere was soaked in until 8pm when the feet just couldn't keep up with the mind.
Monday and Tuesday weren't wasted by the tourist who survived her first Sainsbury experience, shopped til she dropped at the Harrods Sale and did the full 360o of the London Eye. To date her tour guides have been highly recommended and tipped accordingly .
The flash will continue to work on over-drive with the next several days events: stay tuned for a full report........
