Last morning in Hoi An - Vince and I decided to do a morning trip to My Son which is an area of Hindu relic temple ruins. Tonnes of tours visiting so really difficult to get a decent photo without annoying tourists in the way!
After dinner at my new favourite restaurant next to the Sunflower we got the overnight bus to Nha Trang.
We checked into the best hostel I've stayed in called Mozjo Inn. The three girls (Snow, Gem and Ly) who run it are so friendly. They learnt everyone's name as soon as they arrived and made everyone feel so welcome. Met a guy called Tom from Bath who also checked in at Mozjo Inn.
Nha Trang is a beach resort which is popular with the Russians. Vince, Tom and I chilled on the beach the first morning whilst waiting for our room to be ready. The tanning begins!
In the afternoon Tom, Matt (a guy staying in Tom's room) and I went to the market. Some weird and wacky things being sold there - most of which I have no clue what it is and even if we ask most of the market sellers don't speak English to tell us.
There were tonnes of stalls selling dried squid. Matt and Tom couldn't resist trying - they were given a free sample and then felt they had to buy some - asked for two squid, the bloke thought they wanted two kilos! Who wants that much squid?!? It seemed like they rarely sell less than a kilo and so to ask just for two was a shock!
Also at the market there were a few stalls with a roulette game - you had to choose a number and see where the spinning wheel landed. Lots of Vietnamese kids playing it. Seemed more like a fair than a market!
That evening we hit the buckets hard! Caught up with some of the girls I travelled with previously in a bar called Why Not? Met some Brits there - one guy lived in Clapham South and frequents the Clarence...small world.
Following day (hungover) we visited the Cham Towers - similar architecture to My Son. It was so hot we decided to grab a drink - ordered iced tea thinking it would be similar to lipton's or nestea. Oh no - proper tea with milk with loads of ice and a slice of orange in it...still kinda tasty but not what I was expecting!
